Denis was the Director of North American Equity Research at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown from 1992 to 2000, responsible for the equity research activities of over 200 analysts. Prior to being named Director of Equity Research, Denis was responsible for the Insurance and Financial Services Research Groups. Over the course of his career, Denis was elected to the Institutional Investor All-America Research Team 10 times.
Bill is Managing Partner and Founder of WFD Ventures, a venture capital investment partnership focused primarily on the health care and information technology sectors. Prior to founding WFD Ventures, Bill served as general partner of Insight Capital Partners, an information technology venture capital firm (1999 - 2002). Bill has also served as a member of senior management at Johnson & Johnson, where he was Vice President, Licensing & Acquisitions and a member of the Consumer Pharmaceutical and Professional Group Operating Committee (1995 - 1999). Bill was also a director of Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation, Johnson & Johnson's venture capital subsidiary.
Aaron is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the Device Development Laboratory at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Prior to joining Dartmouth, Aaron served as Director of Interventional Cardiology at the Palo Alto VA and also served on the faculty at Stanford University. In addition to his clinical work, Aaron focuses on early-stage medical device development. He has served as a founder of medical device companies LocalMed and Perclose and as a consultant to CVA, Corazon, Endobionics, Radiant, Guidant, and Johnson & Johnson. Aaron has also served as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Three Arch Partners. Aaron received his M.D. from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University.
John S. MacGregor, M.D., Ph.D.
John is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. He also serves as the Director of the Cardiac Catherization Laboratory and the Director of Interventional Cardiology at San Francisco General Hospital. John received both his M.D. and his Ph.D. degrees from Cornell University.
Randle serves as President and CEO of GI Dynamics, Inc., an early-stage medical device company focused on a treatment for obesity and a Cutlass Capital, L.P. portfolio company. Prior to joining GI Dynamics, Randle served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Advanced Technology Ventures, where he focused on identifying, creating, and leading new medical device companies. Prior to joining ATV, he was president and CEO of ACT Medical, where he was responsible for developing and executing a new strategy that resulted in the sale of the company to MedSource in 2001. Randle has also served in a number of senior executive roles at both Baxter International and Allegiance Healthcare.
Sasso is president of Indiana Spine Group and is a Clinical Professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine and Butler University. In addition to his clinical work, Sasso is also involved in the research and development of spinal implants and techniques in minimally invasive surgery. He serves as advisor to Medtronic Sofamor Danek, Stryker Spine, TranS1 (a Cutlass Capital portfolio company), and several medical device start-ups. Sasso received his M.D. degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine.
